BRADFORD, Pa. -- Survivors of a Christmas Eve plane crash more than four decades ago have gathered to remember the deadly accident.
More than 20 survivors, relatives and rescuers shared memories yesterday of the 1968 crash of Allegheny Airlines Flight 736 on a cold and snowy Christmas Eve. Twenty of the 47 passengers aboard died.
The plane crashed in Mount Alton, more than three miles from Bradford Regional Airport. Many of the attendees to this week's reunion returned to the site for the first time since the accident.
One of the surviving passengers hopes the group reunites again next summer to place a memorial.
