When a child stays in the hospital for any length of time, his or her whole world is consumed by all things medical. The Child Life Department at Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh of UPMC tries to offset this by providing developmental, educational, social and emotional support to children of all ages who stay there.

The Tri-Star Auto Group had become aware of this very special service for the children through their deep commitment and work with the United Way. Tri-Star’s Principle Owner, Kevin Sergent, expressed the general feelings of those at Tri-Star: “We at Tri-Star have a desire to support organizations that will help improve the quality of life for people in the communities in which we do business. The goal of our philanthropy and employee volunteer efforts is to make a difference. We hope these 13 Dell Streak Computer Tablets provide some diversion and enjoyment to the young patients at Children’s Hospital.”

Tri-Star Auto Group has six locations throughout Western Pennsylvania, with eight major automotive franchises.
