"Art Flash!," a one-night exhibition of works by local photographers, will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at 2315 Wharton St., South Side, in the offices of Commonwealth Press. "Art Flash!" bills itself as "anti-juried art and pro-community, friends and good times" and plans similar events dependent upon the success of this inaugural show. Road trippers to Niagara Falls will have the opportunity to view the iconic natural phenomenon from artists' perspectives beginning Sept. 1, when a new permanent exhibition opens at the satellite gallery of the Castellani Art Museum of Niagara University. "300 Years of Niagara Falls Imagery" comprises approximately 15 paintings, prints and photographs from the museum's collection of historic Niagara Falls works that date from 1698 to 1837.
