Pennsylvania Democrat has elevated stature now on Senate aging committee, but it’s the GOP that’s in charge in Washington.
The maladies of dementia and depression are often interwoven in older adults, but how do you tell when it’s a case of one rather than the other?
That’s part of what will be explored at UPMC McKeesport Feb. 1 in a free health education discussion the public is invited to attend from noon to 2 p.m.
UPMC is advertising the session as a chance to hear medical professionals explain the differences between dementia and depression and what kind of help can be obtained for them and where to get it. Dr. Barbara Nightingale and Dr. Lawson Bernstein will make presentations on the two types of illness.
While anyone can attend at no charge, attendees are to register in advance by calling 412-664-2306.
