Today's Springfield Moment ... 'Skinner's Sense of Snow'
August 26, 2014 12:00 AM
"Skinner's Sense of Snow." From left, Maggie, Marge, Lisa Homer and Bart Simpson.
“Skinner’s Sense of Snow,” 5:30 p.m., and “Grift of the Magi,” 7 a.m. on FXX
There’s so much to love about this episode: the visit to “Cirque du Puree,” and kids forced to watch a cruddy old Christmas special while snowed in at school ... but perhaps the best line comes from Krusty the Clown:
“And this ends Krusty's nondenominational holiday funfest. So, have a Merry Christmas, a Happy Hanukkah, a Krazy Kwanzaa, a Tip Top Tet, and a solemn, eventful Ramadan. Now, over to my god, our sponsors.”
Bonus Moment: ”Grift of the Magi“ airs at 7 a.m. A take-down of Christmas toy marketing research. Funzo!
(And a happy, cynical Springfield Moment to you. The Post-Gazette will run one each day of FXX’s “Every. Simpsons. Ever.” marathon, which runs through Labor Day.)
