Teammate Kareem Dawson concluded they were "both smelling like 18 dead frogs," but after three weeks of hunting and being hunted in the California wild, he and Ambridge native Antoine Burton won the $250,000 grand prize on The CW's summer series, "Capture."

Having eliminated a strong Red team of Jacob Kosior and Rob Anderson the previous day, Mr. Burton and Mr. Dawson's Green team played a new kind of game against stealthy Teal, British twins Nikita and Jade Ramsey.

Teal made a crucial blunder in not attacking when it had the chance, and when it was time for it to be the hunt team, it was quickly run down by Green. Mr Burton caught Nikita -- or was it Jade? Hard to tell -- and the two Indiana University of Pennsylvania buddies collapsed into a tearful heap. Mr. Dawson, a Philadelphia native, had said he hoped to use his share of the prize to help with medical bills for his mother, who has multiple sclerosis.

"I started jumping up and down, Kareem and I just do a chest bump and we knew we were taking this back to PA.," said Mr. Burton, who now lives in Aliquippa.

On the previous day's hunt, the IUP students came within three seconds of being eliminated themselves. Fog was pumped into the woods, a la "The Hunger Games," as they frantically searched for the Red team. Had they not made the capture, they would have been voted out that night.

A casting call for CBS's "Survivor" will be held at the Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs complex Oct. 24. For more information and application forms, go to www.Pahomepage.com.
