"Democracy Now!" creator and TV/radio host Amy Goodman will speak at Carnegie Mellon University's McConomy Auditorium Thursday at 7 p.m.
She is on a book tour for her new work, co-authored with Denis Moynihan, "The Silenced Majority: Stories of Uprisings, Occupations, Resistance and Hope."
"Democracy Now!" airs each weekday at 8 p.m. on WRCT 88.3 FM and also on PCTV's cable channel 21.
The lecture is free and open to the public, although donations will be accepted to support PCTV and the Pittsburgh Campaign for Democracy Now.
CBS, which will carry Super Bowl XLVII from New Orleans this season, has begun simulcasting games in Spanish. Using Secondary Audio Program (SAP) technology, every game will be covered.
Alfredo Bejar, Nelson Fernandez and Halim Zadat will call games, with veteran announcers Armando Quintero and Benny Ricardo leading the coverage.
