Zachary Quinto will make his Broadway debut alongside fellow Carnegie Mellon University alumnus Cherry Jones when American Repertory Theater's "The Glass Menagerie" transfers to New York. Mr. Quinto tweeted: "dear broadway: i simply simply cannot wait to be on you for the first time ... GLASS MENAGERIE. it is happening." The show opens in previews Sept. 5 and premieres Sept. 26 for a 17-week run.

In February, Ben Brantley of The New York Times praised the Cambridge, Mass., production and Mr. Quinto's "benchmark performance" as Tom Wingfield.

Green Tree native Quinto, who plays Spock in J.J. Abrams' "Star Trek" films, recently co-starred with Billy Porter and Christian Borle in an off-Broadway Signature Theater production of "Angels in America." Ms. Jones is a two-time Tony Award winner for "Doubt," in which she starred when the tour came to Pittsburgh, and "The Heiress." She will play Tom's mother, Amanda Wingfield, in the Tennessee Williams classic. Celia Keenan-Bolger (Wendy in Broadway's "Peter and the Starcatcher") and Brian J. Smith fill out the cast for director John Tiffany, who led "Once" to a Tony win for best musical last year.
