Bruce Springsteen auctions ticket package to benefit Pittsburgh's Rainbow Kitchen

Bruce Springsteen, who has supported the Rainbow Kitchen since the 1980s, has established an auction package to benefit the Homestead-based food bank.

It includes four tickets plus four passes to the exclusive E Street Lounge, a special backstage meeting place for guests of the band and touring personnel, for his show Tuesday night at Consol Energy Center.

The minimum bid is $500 for the set, and was at $550 on Thursday morning.

Bids should be submitted via email to donna.little@rainbowkitchen.org and must include the bidder’s name, address, email address and cell phone number, in addition to the bid amount. Rainbow Kitchen will provide updates of the high-bid amount to those who have submitted bids. The auction will end Saturday at 3 p.m. and payment must be received at Rainbow Kitchen on Monday.

During his ‘85 tour, Springsteen donated $10,000 to the Rainbow Kitchen and Homestead Unemployment Center. It was the single-largest donation to the charity at the time.
