The Pittsburgh Chamber Music Society announced Monday that Kristen Linfante would take over as executive director. Ms. Linfante, a violist with and former general manager of the Cleveland-based ensemble Apollo's Fire, lives in Mt. Lebanon.

Former executive director Annie Mollova left in December because she is expecting a baby.

The organization was started in 1961 as a presenting organization for some of the world's top chamber music ensembles.
