Country stars, Clarks to play Coors Light Kickoff and Rib Festival at Heinz Field

Football, food and music will be part of the game plan when the Steelers celebrate the start of the 2013 season with the annual Coors Light Kickoff and Rib Festival Aug. 29-Sept. 2 at Heinz Field.

There will be rib vendors, rides, games and free concerts by Justin Moore, Montgomery Gentry, The Clarks and more. Admission is free to the public and there is free bike parking on Reesdale Street every day of the event except Monday.

Hours are noon-midnight Thursday, Aug. 29, and Friday, Aug. 30; 9 a.m.-midnight Saturday, Aug. 31; noon-midnight Sunday, Sept. 1; and noon-end of University of Pittsburgh football game Monday, Sept. 2.

Thursday, Aug. 29

• Parmalee will perform on the south plaza of Heinz Field (6:30 p.m.)

• Montgomery Gentry will perform at Stage AE (8:15 p.m.). Fans can get a free ticket to this show by visiting the Sundance Vacations Booth on festival grounds.

Friday, Aug. 30

• The Clarks will perform on the south plaza of Heinz Field (9 p.m.)

Saturday, Aug. 31

• Annual Steelers 5K Race and Fitness Walk (9 a.m.)

• Tres Lads will perform on the south plaza of Heinz Field (5 p.m.)

• Maggie Rose will perform on the south plaza of Heinz Field (8:30 p.m.)

Sunday, Sept. 1

• Free youth football clinic on the field at Heinz Field (first-come, first-serve basis)

• Drew Baldridge will perform on the south plaza of Heinz Field (7:30 p.m.)

• Justin Moore will perform on the south plaza of Heinz Field (9 p.m.)

Monday, Sept. 2

• Pitt vs. Florida State (8 p.m.): Fans must have a ticket to enter game. Festival grounds open before, during and after game.
