Flamboyant glam-pop singer Adam Lambert will headline the Pride in the Street festival Downtown on Saturday, June 15.

The "American Idol" star and Grammy nominee will perform a 90-minute set with a full band and dancers on the outdoor stage on Liberty Avenue. Last year Melissa Etheridge drew a record crowd of 6,800 to the event, with is presented by The Delta Foundation of Pittsburgh.

Tickets are $35 in advance and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, April 5, online at www.pittsburghpride.org/tickets or by calling 1-888-71-TICKETS. Concert-goers must be 18 or older or accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Mr. Lambert, an openly gay performer, has been a vocal supporter of marriage equality and the "It Gets Better" campaign, working against school bullying and a rash of suicides among LGBT youth. He received a GLAAD Media Award nomination in 2010 for Outstanding Music Artist and in 2013 for Outstanding Music Artist.
