The Henry Mancini Musical Theatre Awards recognizing achievement in high school musical theater in Beaver, Butler and Lawrence counties is in its 20th year, but it’s first at Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center. This year’s nominees will be honored at a private reception at the center, moving from its former Geneva College venue, on May 18, with Broadway veteran Lenora Nemetz in attendance. The awards ceremony will be held at the center on May 21 and will feature performances by several productions.

Former honorees will serve as presenters and tribute awards will be given to those who have greatly influenced the Henry Mancini Musical Theatre Awards. A Lifetime Achievement Award will be presented to chorus and musical director Phil Inman, and Virginia Mancini, widow of the great composer from Aliquippa, will be in attendance.

Tickets for the Awards Ceremony are $10 at www.lppacenter.org or 724-576-4644.
