Apart from candy and creatures, Halloween this year brings with it the winner of our "Scary Shorts" video competition.
And the winner is ... "The Mausoleum," directed by Blase H. Ward.
This a creepy two-minute film that has multiple endings, if you catch our drift. Go to post-gazette.com/ScaryShorts to take a look.
As winner of the contest, "The Mausoleum" gets its own showcase on WBGN's "The It's Alive Show" (details at theitsaliveshow.com).
In addition to "Mausoleum," the other finalists were:
• "Lamia Sardonic" by Bob Taylor.
• "A Hunting We Will Go" by Franz M. Vorenkamp.
• "The Montour Mine" by Dan Tatman.
• "Dreamquest for the Maw" by Max Kasperek.
"Mausoleum" won with 34.5 percent of the vote. The five videos attracted nearly 4,000 viewings.
