Brady Allred will resign as artistic director of the Bach Choir of Pittsburgh at the end of June. Allred, living in Salt Lake City where he conducts at the University of Utah, felt that traveling to Pittsburgh to lead the choir this year took too much time from his family. "He may still be involved in our Summer Choral Institute, but he has resigned his position as artistic director effective June 30," says managing director Sara Jane Lowry. A search for a successor will follow. Allred's last concert in his 10-year tenure with the choir will be April 9 at Carnegie Music Hall.
