'Residents' surfaces

"The Residents," a docu-drama series by filmmaker R.J. Cutler produced for TNT, will finally air on Discovery Health Channel Sunday at 10 p.m., chronicling the stressful world of first-year medical residents at the UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles.

The series, along with the newsroom drama "Breaking News," was among the casualties of the AOL-Time Warner merger several years ago.

Chef Steff on WNPA

Stefano's Ristorante owner Stefano Tedeschi, better known as Chef Steff, will get a weekly series on WNPA.

"Food and Football With Chef Steff" premieres at 10 a.m. Sunday on Channel 19 and will include interviews with NFL players about food as well as cooking tips and recipes from Chef Steff.

For its first season, 13 episodes of "Food and Football" will be produced independently, with Tedeschi buying the time to air the program on WNPA.

Locals on dating shows

Episodes of the syndicated dating show "Elimidate" that were filmed in Pittsburgh this summer will air Friday and Oct. 14 at 11 p.m. on WCWB.
