There will be a rare opportunity to get a glimpse of the cutting edge of modern photo reportage on Saturday when the National Press Photographers Association Flying Short Course lands in Pittsburgh.
The one-day program begins at 8 a.m. at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Moon and will feature trend-setters in local, national and international still photo and video reporting. The short course is the 45th in a series of annual seminars in which speakers appear in five U.S. cities in one week.

Pulitzer-prize winner Kim Komenich, noted for his coverage of the Pacific rim for the San Francisco Examiner newspaper.
Jason Rhodes, NPPA television photographer of year, from KMBC-TV in Kansas City.
Iranian-born photojournalist Reza, who has brought an insider's view of the Muslim world to Western publications.
Mary Beth Meehan, a photo columnist for the Providence Journal newspaper.
Chien Chi-Chang, a member of the Magnum photo agency, who has been documenting daily life in America's Chinatowns.
Brad Houston, NPPA videotape editor of the year from KUSA-TV in Denver.
Joanna B. Pinneo, who has covered foreign missions and President Bush.
Kent Kobersteen, director of photography for the National Geographic.
