The University of Pittsburgh announced Wednesday that it will face a former Big East foe, Cincinnati, as part of the 2013 Jimmy V Classic scheduled for Tuesday, December 17.

The game will be part of a double header at New York's Madison Square Garden. Pittsburgh will play Cincinnati at 7:00 p.m., followed by Florida-Memphis at 9:00 p.m. Both games will be televised on ESPN.

The Panthers played Cincinnati February 9, 2013, when they beat the Bearcats 62-52 at Fifth Third Arena in Cincinnati.

The Panthers last played in the Jimmy V Classic when they lost to Indiana 74-64 in 2009. This will be Pittsburgh's third total appearance in the tournament.

While the Panthers will play in the Atlantic Coast Conference during the 2013-2014 season, they're December schedule will at least have a familiar flare with Cincinnati on the calendar.
