Trey Zeigler, who transferred to Pitt last spring, has decided to transfer again after one season with the Panthers.
Zeigler averaged 4.4 points and two rebounds in 31 games this season. The 6-foot-5 guard came to Pitt after averaging 16 points per game in two seasons as a starter at Central Michigan.
Zeigler, a former top recruit who also considered UCLA and Duke last year, came to Pitt with high expectations, but he had a difficult time finding a niche in coach Jamie Dixon's rotation.
Zeigler was suspended for two games in November and December after being cited for driving under the influence. As a reserve, he scored in double figures three times, including an 18-point performance in a January game against DePaul. But he struggled toward the end of the season, not scoring more than two points in any of the final 10 games of the season.
